Cody Marenes – 6th, 7th, 8th Science
Personal Biography
My name is Cody Marenes and I teach science for the upper grades at Saint Mary School in Platteville. I grew up in Evansville, WI. I have a younger brother who is studying law enforcement at University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. My wife is a third grade teacher in Evansville and we have a baby daughter who was born in May.
In my free time I like to read, play golf, watch Wisconsin Badger football, and spend time with my little girl.
Educational: I graduated from Evansville High school in 2003. I went to Edgewood College in Madison, WI for four and a half years. I graduated with Honors receiving a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in science. I student taught in Evansville in a 5th grade math and science classroom.
Employment: Once I graduated from college I was a substitute teacher in different districts. This summer I worked at a Daycare Facility. This is my first full-time teaching job and my first year at Saint Mary School.
Why I teach? I teach because I love to learn and share my knowledge. I feel that the middle school age students can teach me things as well.
