Art – Mrs. Roth

Tina RothArt Teacher – Kindergarten thru 6th Grade

Personal Biography

My name is Tina Roth and I have the pleasure of doing a job that I love – being a teacher. Not only am I a teacher, I’m also a wife, member of the Children’s Ministry Board, Sunday School teacher, Church Youth leader, and mother of three children ages 3, 13, and 15. I love doing creative things (there is nothing like a new box of crayons or set of watercolors) and discovering new ways to use color and various media. I love being with my family, we camp, travel, hike, bike, garden and play together. I am also an avid reader and I appreciate all types of music.

Education: I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison with a Bachelors of Science Degree from the School of Family Resources and Consumer Science, and from the University of Wisconsin Platteville with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Early Childhood. I am a committed lifetime learner and it is my goal to never stop learning so that I can be the best teacher I can be.

Why I teach?   One of the reasons I decided to go into the field of education is because of the experiences with my own children. As a mother, I’ve learned that you wear many different hats and one of them is being a teacher. Whether you’re teaching your child to ride a bike or practice their reading, the key to success is to encourage their enthusiasm and willingness to try. As a teacher I want to positively impact your child’s view of learning. I enjoy working with children. I appreciate their imagination, creativity, energy, and enthusiasm. One of the best ways to nurture and spark those qualities is by exposing them to Art.
